Workshop:
Adapting IR to an evolving European landscape: market rules, actors and instruments.
We shall examine the impact that European rules (e.g. MIFID) have had on the European markets:
• the fragmentation of markets (MTF´s, dark pools),
• the evolution of new instruments (ETF´s, indices and futures) and
• the new actors (high frequency traders, short term traders, etc).
In addition, we will look at the implications of these and possible future rules for the IR function (tracking volumes, shareholder identification, interpreting share price movements, etc.).
